Seaplane Lagoon, CA

The Alameda Naval Air Station was the largest naval air station in the world in 1940 when it was commissioned. It encompassed over 2,500 acres of the island of Alameda and was the home of 3 seaplane ramps and a lighted Seadrome. eTrac was involved in the multibeam survey support throughout the lagoon before, during, and after the initial superfund cleanup effort. Additional scope included dredge positioning support to optimize the dredging effort and confirm material was removed accurately. Recently, eTrac was back in the lagoon to survey the Ocean Cleanup dock that serves as the launching point for the System 001 plastic collector. https://www.theoceancleanup.com
